This annual workshop provides a forum to\u00a0present recent and original\u00a0work in various areas of telecommunication networks. It is mainly intended for\u00a0researchers working in Italian Universities. International speakers and attendees are most welcome and in fact growing in number in the last few years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The scientific scope of the workshop is very broad, including network architectures and protocols, energy efficient networking, wireless technology, mesh and sensor networks, wearable technology, optical networks, software defined and cognitive networks, peer-to-peer networks, traffic measurements and security, data mining and big data for networking and\u00a0performance evaluation (simulation, experimental work).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main purposes of the Italian Networking Workshop are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>To present your\u00a0latest research results, obtaining immediate feedback from the research community in a rather informal but thorough way;<\/li>\n<li>To provide a nice and stimulating opportunity to get-together, especially for\u00a0PhD students and young researchers, fostering\u00a0discussions about scientific topics,\u00a0as well as interaction with Professors and researchers from other universities;<\/li>\n<li>To join forces in the write-up of project proposals;<\/li>\n<li>To do all that in a nice and comfortable location, enjoying good food and a bit of skiing;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop is quite informal. Contributions are\u00a0<em>not published nor copyrighted<\/em>, and participants are encouraged to submit the work presented here to the most appropriate international venues.
